Black Caps have ended series in appropriate
fashion, barely clinching T20 series against Sri Lanka in Queenstown.
In the last match of the ongoing series between New Zealand and Sri Lanka, New Zealand won the match and the series by defeating Sri Lanka in the last over after a thrilling contest. Batting first, Sri Lanka set a total target of 182 runs in twenty overs. Khushal Mandis was the top scorer from Sri Lanka with 73 runs, including four fours. And there were three sixes.

Chasing the target, New Zealand started batting when
their first wicket fell on the score of 53 while the second wicket partnership
of Tim Seifert and Tom Latham reached the target of 134 runs. Tim Seifert was
the overall top scorer for New Zealand, his unbeaten innings of 88 included 10
fours and 3 sixes.
Tim Seifert's brilliant top scorer (88 off 48 balls) took
the hosts to a target of 183.
The final match of the ongoing series between New Zealand
and Sri Lanka continued to be a thrilling contest till the 20th over with New
Zealand needing 10 runs to win. Mark Chapman’s booming six to begin Kumara’s closing
over had the hosts within sight, but the next three deliveries saw him fall,
Neesham run out and Mitchell dismissed.
