The Parliament of Pakistan has passed a goal dismissing the High Court's structure to hold early decisions for two commonplace gatherings in the country.
The High Court pronounced the choice of the
Constituent Board to defer the races in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
territories as illegal.
Administrator Khalid Magsi introduced during
the gathering of the Public Get together of Pakistan in the capital Islamabad.
The Speaker of the House said in a live transmission that most of legislators casted a ballot to dismiss the choice of the three-part board of the court headed by the Central Equity and request a full court board containing every one of the adjudicators hearing the case. is given.
The date of May 14 has been given for the
election in Punjab, the largest province of Pakistan. Regarding the election,
the Supreme Court of Pakistan has ordered the current government to release 21
billion rupees funds to the Election Commission of Pakistan and has asked it to
update the court by April 11.
Parliament has lodged an attack on Supreme
Court. The Pakistani government has rejected the Supreme Court's order
regarding the elections by passing a resolution in the parliament.
The resolution passed by Parliament has no
legal backing. A week ago, the government passed a bill in Parliament and
introduced a draft law to end the powers of the Chief Justice.
The Pakistani government is of the view that
general elections will not be allowed in view of the current economic
situation, while the current opposition (Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and its
allies) dissolved the provincial governments to allow the current government to
hold early elections. This matter started a year ago when they ended the
government through a vote of confidence.
“When
I decided to dissolve my two assemblies , we got top lawyers in the country. We
all looked at the constitution and each one of them said that the moment you
dissolve assemblies, elections will have to be held within 90 days. It is
unambiguous,
So, if
the government does not accept the Supreme Court’s verdict, it means they are
now violating the constitution. In that case, the Supreme Court could slap
contempt on them,” Imran Khan
